keynote: “Pursuing the Genetics of Composition: Experiencing the Self-Experiencing Writer and Reader”

Abstract

Writing and reading inter-play as modes of self-experience in processes of composition. The presentation explores this perspective on the making of the literary artefact from the narrative art of Virginia Woolf and James Joyce.

Hans Walter Gabler is professor (retired) of English Literature and Editorial Scholarship at Ludwig Maximilians Universität, München, Germany; also Senior Research Fellow, Institute of English Studies, School of Advanced Study, London University.
